The new Enviro Development initiative of the UDIA is exciting because it provides a means for developers in the residential property development industry to finally measure their achievements in the area of environmental excellence and provides a means to market these achievements to consumers. Until now it has been difficult to succinctly communicate success in environmental management in a comparative way. The concepts have not been broadly understood in the marketplace. Enviro Development will provide consumers with a readily understood tool and assit them to align with developments that have achieved a level of environmental excellence.
