Gifford Hill - What's in store for 2012?

Gifford Hill - What's in store for 2012?

At the recent Imagine your Rural City Murray Bridge 2020 Ambassadors briefing event, Olivia Burke from Burke Urban shared with the crowd what has been achieved at Gifford Hill development to date and what the next steps will be in the project timeline.

There has been an enormous amount of work going on behind the scenes over the past 12 months. More than $15 million has been invested into Gifford Hill so far on land, track construction and project-related planning, design and engineering activity, not to mention the team's dedication to community engagement and community building.

Work is set to continue on the new racecourse in 2012 and the training facilities associated with the new equine precinct will be the immediate focus so that the Equine Trainers' Village can become operational and start servicing the racing community.

Amongst many other things, Gifford Hill brand development work will also begin, which will be linked with the place essence and community values established through the Imagine 2011 workshop series. Because it is important for new buildings to capture and reflect the local character of the region as well as be adaptable to the local climate and environment, work will continue on interpreting an architectural form and a set of design guidelines for residential and commercial buildings that will complement the Gifford Hill landscape and community values.

Burke Urban is committed to this world-class project and is excited about the planned works and progress to be made on-site, in the office and amongst the community in 2012.
